This popular band plays regularly at The Malt House in Birmingham's canal district (a beautiful setting by the way), where this CD was recorded at one of their Sunday lunch-time sessions. The band's music embraces many styles of jazz from Dixieland to Mainstream and Swing.
The band line-up is Tony Pipkin trumpet; Peter Carlton clarinet and tenor sax; Roger Rae trombone; Rod Kelly or Harry Matts piano; Bob Boucher double bass; Allan Jones drums.
